Owner: Bernard Vidal Climate: Alternating microclimate of mistral and Mediterranean marine Location: Situated in the heart of Faugères,in the small commune of Cabrerolles, at 300m elevation Soil: Schist Varieties: 45% Carignan (70 year old), 40% Grenache noir (30-40 year old), 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre. Yields of 35-40 hecotlitres/hectare. Viticulture and Vinification: Manually harvested. Traditional vinification for Syrah (18 days) and carbonic maceration (15 days) for the others. Temperature controlled. Matured in enamelled tanks for 16-18 months. Tasting notes: Deep red colour. Complex nose of ripe fruits, black cherries, and mulberry. Accent of garrigue and rockrose. Fleshy, with integrated and supple tannins. Can age 6-7 years. | ||||
