The origins of Antica Torino are a tale of passion for its founders, Vittorio Zoppi and Filippo Antonelli, each aiming to produce and rediscover traditional Piedmontese aromatized wines, liqueurs and spirits, and likewise create new recipes inspired by traditional ones. In 2014, when a wine and spirits distributor from San Francisco asked him for a Vermouth di Torino to import, Vittorio started on a course of study and research which, two years later, led to him bottling Antica Torino Vermouth and Filippo joined the venture a short few months afterwards. Both the Vermouth di Torino and Amaro contain no ready-made dyes, each are processed individually and on a cottage-industry basis, whose complete ingredient list remains a secret according to the best Piedmontese tradition: each has its own formula, jealously guarded within the family.
