Husband-and-wife team Olivier Roten and Laine Boswell live, eat, and breath (and yes, drink) wine. They even met at a wine studies program in Switzerland. Together, they founded Avalanche Wine Company, an homage to the greatness of Swiss wine and its history specializing in traditional Swiss varietal wines in the Valais appellation: high elevation Alpine Mountain wine. Roten also stewards his own family vines under an eponymous label and represents the third generation of his family to do so. The property is certified sustainable and has been undergoing organic conversion since 2019.
