Jean-Michel Dupre is based just above the small town of Beaujeu, the historical capital of the Beaujolais. Fittingly it was his Beaujolais-Villages that we fell for. With 80-year old vines giving naturally low yields, there is a rare combination of refreshment and mineral expression. We did ask him for a more playful label. Its only drawback is it doesn't really tell you how good the wine is.
