Anna Muzzolini left her career as a biologist in Ferrara in 1999 to take over the family estate of 9 hectares in Prepotto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It lies right by the Slovenian border. With a total production under 3500 cases, it is very much a small family operation. Anna decided to focus on the native grapes of the region: Schioppetino, Refosco, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Verduzzo Friulano and Picolit. However she also grows some Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Her wines regularly receive acclaim from the Italian press, and the international wine press.
